What a day!

Today was interesting. For the first time in my med student life, i was at d hospital for 12 hours! Crazy! 7am till 7pm. So i followed the registrar the whole day, went for trauma bfast, did morning ward rounds and assisted in 4 operations with the consultant : thyroidectomy, mesh repair of traumatic hernia, Inguinal hernia repair and also lap chole.
Basically by the end of day, my legs were about to fall off, and my body was already in the state of starvation..haha
But u know what? despite the long hours, my registrar still decided to check on our patients when he actually could have gone back home. He wanted to make sure they were alright. He was still smiling n talking nicely to the patients! So selfless n so dedicated. I guess every doctor must hv gone through these long days somewhwre in their career. So salute to all doctors out there and guys, if u come across grumpy doctors, just forgive them.. They go through a lot in a day! (although being tired doesnt really mean u can be mean.. Think that perhaps, they had a rough day)

And as for me, i guess like umi said
"nothing comes easy in life"

Obviously,it takes a lot of sacrifice to deserve the title "Doctor".

So to all my medic frens, keep holding on! May Allah bless our journey in helping ppl n make us awesome doctors. Amin.
