Salam.
Ok for these past few weeks, we have been preparing for this programme entitled TIOH: this is our history which is gonna be tomorrow.
In this programme, the history of Islam would be unveiled one by one from before Islam aka jahiliyyah up till now.
So, I have been doing a lot of reading on abbasiyah, and d ottoman empire and also how the caliph system was destroyed.
Thse last few days, i hv been overwhelmed with the truth, with the reality of d ummah. while it is inspiring to read on how islam was at its golden age (abbasiyah) while europe was in dark age, its so heart breaking to know how a civilisation that was so great, crumbled into pieces via a very subtle strategy by the enemies of Islam.
In the crusades war, after so many failed attempts,the christians knew they could never defeat the muslims through physical war as these men were no ordinary men. They were men of a strong faith and they were willing to die for Islam, for paradise awaited them.
So when King Louise from France was captured by the muslim army, he observed & studied the muslims. He looked for d factor that made muslims so great,so united, so unbreakable. After being held captive for some time, he found their strength so when compensation was paid by his people and he was released he went back to the christians. During their meeting, he told them he has found a way to defeat the muslims.
" the only way to win is to separate muslims from this book " and he pointed to the Quran.
He realised that muslims' strength was in their strong connection with the Quran and the sunnah. Whatever they did was based on these two sources, and of course like Rasulullah reminded in his last sermon that if we were to hold strongly to Quran n sunnah, we will nvr go astray.
And ever since then, the enemies plotted strategies to make muslims distant from Quran, to make them just muslims by name, and erase Islam in
their hearts and souls.
It wasnt sword that they used. And it wasnt physical occupation, that they were aiming for. It was mind occupation.
Their plan was to make muslims forget the remembrance of Allah and breaking the strong muslim unity by making them indulging in entertainment & secularisme via the 'modernisation' that they were promoting.

* as with any kind of presentation, im freaking out now. Theres just way too much info to digest.the info is so heavy.i dont know what important points to say.
It makes me sad to realise how i call myself muslim, but nvr knew this history about us, islam until now. After these reading sessions, i think i have actually fallen in love with History now. Nvr really liked it during school.
Hurm, I want to do this because of Allah, and please make doa that tomorrow everything goes on smoothly, and Allah makes thing easy for all the presenters.
